Today, Be Kind to Yourself...

Have you ever wondered why it is easier to remember the negative and not the positive? There is actual science behind this reason.

When we hear something negative, or if something bad happens to us, it goes to our long-term memory immediately. On the other hand, if something good happens or someone gives us a compliment, we have to hold on to this thought/feeling for a minimum of 15 seconds before it goes to our long-term memory. This is why it is so easy to remember the bad and not so much the good.

So, for every negative you hear (or tell yourself), you have to give yourself 3 positive affirmations to counteract the negative.
